Heavy metal outfit formed after Dave Mustaine's dismissal from Metallica which became one of the pioneer band's of American thrash metal alongside Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax. 

Trivia

Their original run was from 1983 to 2002. They reunited in 2004. They won their first Grammy Award in 2017 for their song "Dystopia."
