Azim Ph Somani
Autobiographer
Most their for his autobiographical novel Shattered Lives: In the Pearl of Africa, Somani is also known as the founder of a publishing, property, and investments corporation known as the APHS Group.
After earning a bachelor's degree and a doctorate from Liverpool John Moores University, he completed a tour of duty with the British Army and went on to work as a civil servant.
He served as Chief Executive Officer of a business known as the Lifestyle Discount Club.
He grew up in Mbarara, Uganda and later settled in Cheshire, England. His marriage to Nabat Manji resulted in children named Naazlin, Yasmin, Shamir, and Alia.
He and Yasmin Alibhai-Brown are both Ugandan-British writers.
