Known during the late 1990s and early 2000s for her portrayal of Sydney Hughley on the UPN series The Hughleys, she went on to play recurring roles on Still Standing, The Bernie Mac Show, and Sons of Anarchy.
At the start of her career, she had childhood guest spots on both The Parent 'Hood and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
She made a brief appearance in the 1997 Jim Carrey movie Liar Liar.
She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.
In 2010, she appeared with Kendall Schmidt in two episodes of Big Time Rush
