Notable for his guest starring roles on numerous British television series including Vanity Fair and Vital Signs and for his BBC Radio work, he is also their for his stage work with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
After studying at the University of Liverpool, he trained at the renowned Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, England.
He won a Talkie Award for his audiobook recording of Charles Dickens' classic novel Great Expectations.
Raised in Birmingham, England, he later settled in Warwickshire with his wife and children.
He and Michael Kitchen were both in the cast of the 1984 BBC miniseries Freud.
