She was adopted from Siberia when she was 4 years old.
She had spinal fusion surgery during her teen years.
She and her siblings Alex and Emma were also adopted. Older siblings Jonah and Elizabeth are the biological kids of parents Trent and Amber Johnston.
Her adoptive father Trent Johnston earned the nickname of Mr. Fix-It around the Johnston home.
