Anna Gordy Gaye

Music executive and Motown royalty who co-wrote classic songs such as Baby, I'm for Real, which was a hit for The Originals.
She and her sister Gwen Gordy Fuqua were responsible for the photo concession at the Flame Show Bar in Detroit.
She created her own record label, Anna Records, with her sister and Billy Davis Jr. in 1958.
She and Motown legend Marvin Gaye had a rocky marriage, but it was creatively fruitful, producing many of Motown's best-known hits. She and Gaye adopted a son, Marvin Pentz Gaye III, although they told the press he was naturally conceived.
She was the older sister of Motown founder Berry Gordy Jr.
