Rose to fame as the founder and CEO of Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2003. He was announced as the new CEO of Amazon in February 2021 after Jeff Bezos stepped down.
He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Harvard University in 1990 and 1996, respectively. He joined Amazon in 1997.
He has worked as a minority owner of the NHL franchise Seattle Kraken. He has also served as the chairman of the Seattle prep school Rainier Prep.
He has two kids with his wife Elana.
He joined Jerry Bruckheimer as part owners of the NHL's Seattle Kraken before its 2021-2022 expansion year.
