Hall of Fame linebacker who played for the New England Patriots for the entirety of his 12-year NFL career. He made 5 consecutive Pro Bowls from 1984 to 1988 and was named th Co-NEA NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1985.
He attended Barringer High School in Newark, New Jersey and was a two-time First-Team All-Big Ten selection at the University of Iowa.
At the time of his retirement, he held the Patriots record for career sacks with 100 as well as the team's top 3 single-season sack performances.
He married Rhonda Kenney and has children named Janea, Asia, Madison and Coby. Asia was a Patriots cheerleader for four seasons.
He and fellow linebacker Nick Buoniconti were both named to the New England Patriots 35th Anniversary Team in 1994.
