The first Greek player in the WNBA, signed with the Houston Comets in 2006.
She pursued basketball beginning when she was nine.
Her first professional team outside of Greece was Cavigal Nice Sports Basket in France, whom she joined in 2002.
She was born to Konstantinos and Katerina, and she grew up with siblings Dimitra and Nikos.
She credited Nikos Galis as being her role model.
