She trained at the National Theater School of Cuba and starred in her first film role at age sixteen.
She played Carolina Leal on the Antena 3 TV series El Internado from 2007 to 2010.
She was born and raised in La Habana, Cuba, and later moved to Madrid, Spain. She was married to Marc Clotet from 2011 to 2013. She dated actor Édgar Ramírez. In early 2020, she began dating Ben Affleck. They ended their relationship in January 2021.
She starred with Keanu Reeves and Lorenza Izzo in the 2015 movie Knock Knock.
