American gymnast who was one of the Magnificent 7, the 1996 Olympic gymnastics team that won gold for the USA for the first time in that category.
In the trials leading up to the '96 games, she fell off the beam during her routine; but undaunted, she went back up to complete her routine and scored high enough to make the team.
In '96 she also performed well in the individual bars event, winning the silver medal behind the Russian Svetlana Khorkina.
She was born in San Jose to Nelson and Susan Chow, one year ahead of her brother, Kevin.
Amanda Borden was her teammate on the Magnificent 7 team.
