Allan Carr

Tony-nominated theatrical and film talent manager and producer who founded the Allan Carr Enterprises agency. Also a screenwriter, he penned the film adaptation of the popular Broadway musical Grease.
He attended Lake Forest College and Northwestern University. He launched his career in the entertainment industry by investing money in the Broadway musical Ziegfeld Follies.
In the late 1970s, he produced the ad campaigns for Saturday Night Fever and Grease.
His family lived in Chicago, Illinois at the time of his birth. He died of liver cancer at the age of sixty-two.
He worked on The Deer Hunter, a film that starred Robert De Niro.
