Alfred Tarski
Philosopher
Logician, mathematician, and philosopher who became their for his work on model theory and mathematics.
He attended the University of Warsaw and was a member of the Lwów–Warsaw school of logic and the Warsaw school of mathematics and philosophy. He came to the United States in 1939. He was the youngest person ever to complete a doctorate at Warsaw.
He conducted his mathematics research at the University of California, Berkeley, beginning in 1942 until he passed in 1983.
He married Maria Witkowski.
He had a profound influence on Karl Popper.
