He is well known for being in the 2021 movie The Trespasser. He was nominated for Best Actor for his role as Gilberto in the 2001 Cinema Brazil Grand Prize awards.
He was married to actress Júlia Lemmertz in 1993, who he met on the set of Guerra Sem Fim. They divorced in 2015. They had one son named Miguel.
He starred next to actress Mariana Ximenes in The Trespassers.
