His gold medal win in the 2010 Vancouver games earned him the honor of being the first Canadian to win an gold in a Canadian set Olympic games.
His older brother Frederic has beaten the odds by still having the ability to walk in more than double the life time that doctors initially thought. He was told he wouldn't be able to walk by the time he was 12 due to cerebral palsy. As of age 28, he was still walking.
He is an Olympic freestyle skier just like Jonny Moseley.
