Ukrainian-born chess master and former Soviet champion who relocated to Budapest in 1992.
He was a Junior Chess Champion in the early 1980s.
In 1999 he won a Hungarian team silver medal at the Chess Olympiads where he represented the country.
He was born to a Jewish family in the Soviet Union.
Like Vladimir Kramnik, he is a chess master from the former Soviet Union.
