Most their as the third spouse of British bombshell actress Diana Dors, this Englishman was also an actor in his own right. He appeared in episodes of such popular television series as Doctor Who, Hart to Hart, and The Avengers.
He began his television acting career after attending the renowned Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
An occasional singer as well as an actor, he released a 1969 pop song titled "Good Times"/"Got To Have Tenderness."
He and Diana Dors met while filming a late 1960s television series called The Inquisitors. Married from 1968 until Dors' death in 1984, they raised a son named Jason (Lake had earlier fathered a daughter named Catherine, and Dors had two other sons from previous marriages).
Several months after his their wife, Diana Dors, died of cancer, Lake committed suicide.
