Alan Cavé
World Music Singer
Haitian-American vocalist who fronted the popular kompa band Zin from 1989 to 2003. He has had continued success as a solo artist, releasing hit albums like Lagem, Se Pa Pou Dat and Timeless, Vol. 1.
He spent most of his childhood in Haiti and frequently accompanied his father on tours around the world.
He has collaborated with a number of other well-known French-Caribbean singers, including Malavoi, Haddy N'jie and Roy Shirley.
His mother is writer Yanick Jean. His father is poet and art director Syto Cavé.
He and Emeline Michel are both singers of traditional Haitian music.
