Al Hansen
Performance Artist
Modern artist who belonged to the Fluxus group and is known for "Yoko Ono Piano Drop" and other works of performance art. His 1968 art collection, "Coco Was a Poco Loco about Cacao and Men," was displayed at New York's Museum of Modern Art.
He studied with avant-garde composer John Cage at New York City's New School for Social Research.
He became known for his sculptures and collages, as well as for his Happenings-style performance art.
His daughter, Bibbe Hansen, studied with Andy Warhol and became a prominent performance artist.
His grandson, Beck Hansen (better known by the stage name of Beck) had a successful career as an alternative rock musician.
