Stage and screen actress who first rose to fame for her portrayal of Sketch in the series Skins. She then went on to star as Sophie in the Detectorists and Esme in Peaky Blinders. She is also a successful stage star, making her Broadway debut in 2011 in the play Jerusalem.
She first made her acting debut in the 2002 short film Dŵr Dwfn. Then, in 2006, she made a name for herself as a singer competing on the Welsh singing competition Wawffactor.
In 2015, she lent her voice to the character Rachel Baker in the video game Everybody's Gone to the Rapture.
Growing up in Newport, Wales, she played rugby and was the only girl on a boys' team until the age of fourteen.
She stars opposite Cillian Murphy in the popular crime series Peaky Blinders.
