Mexican entertainer affectionately known as "The Queen of Ranchera". She is an extremely successful singer with more than thirty albums to her name.
She began singing in local contests as an eleven-year-old and got her big break in 1975 after appearing on the radio show "El Taller XEW".
Her 2002 album "Enhorabuena" was nominated for three Latin Grammy awards.
Her brother is famed pianist Carlos Cuevas.
She and Paquita la del Barrio are two of Mexico's most beloved ranchera singers.
