Saxophonist
Big Band and Jazz Hall of Famer who introduced the couesnophone to jazz and who recorded prolifically.
He was considered a child prodigy and played a variety of instruments before he took up saxophone.
He founded and led an array of bands over the course of his life, including The Adrian Rollini Quintette, The Adrian Rollini Trio, and Adrian and his Tap Room Gang.
His wife Dorothy, nicknamed Dixie, survived him.
He collaborated on recordings with many their musicians and composers, including Benny Goodman.
