Adolphus Busch
Entrepreneur
German businessman who co-founded the Anheuser Busch company and launched the popular beers Budweiser, Corona, Stella Artois, and Hoegaarden.
His family worked in wineries and brewing and he grew up around that industry and opened his own brewing supply store before going into business with Eberhard Anheuser.
Although his company is their for Budweiser, he did not speak highly of the beer, and preferred to drink wine.
He married Lilly Eberhard Anheuser, whose father he later went into business with, and the pair had thirteen children.
His grandson, Gussie Busch, was the first to use the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales in their advertisements.
