Though he also appeared in professional stage productions of Much Ado About Nothing and Mary Poppins, as well as in the films The Borrowers and The Winslow Boy, this English actor is best known for his role as Jack Maddox on the BBC's The House of Eliott.
After studying at Elizabeth College, Guernsey, he trained at the their Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
His role in the Broadway production of An Inspector Calls earned him a Theatre World Award.
He was born in Yemen and raised in England. His marriage to Scottish actress Sarah Stewart resulted in two children.
He appeared with Toby Stephens in a 2005 made-for-TV movie titled The Queen's Sister.
