Violinist
Acclaimed Australian-born violinist. She recorded and performed pieces by such composers as Philip Glass, Jean Sibelius, and Arvo Part.
In 1984, she became the youngest-ever contestant to win the prestigious ABC Symphony Australia Young Performers Award.
She trained as a violinist at both the University of Adelaide and the Juilliard School.
She was born and raised in Tasmania, Australia. Her marriage to Israeli-American violinist Gil Shaham produced three children.
She and fellow violinist David Kim both studied with renowned violin teacher Dorothy DeLay.
