He was picked 22nd overall in the 1986 NHL Draft by the Detroit Red Wings.
He was named an NHL All-Star in 1994, the only time in his career.
He is the son of Lynda and Henry Graves.
From 1991 to 1997 he was a teammate of Mark Messier on the New York Rangers.
