Indian playback singer who is best recognized for having won the first season of Indian Idol. He is also known for his acting and has appeared in several commercials for Spraymint and for having starred in the drama series Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai.
After winning the first season of Indian Idol in 2005, he went on to release his first solo album that same year. His first playback song came in the film Aashiq Banaya Aapne. He went on to make his acting debut in 2009 when he starred in the film Lottery.
He is also known for having gone on to host the fifth season of Indian Idol.
He and his wife both competed on the fourth season of the reality series Nach Baliye.
He made a guest appearance in the film Tees Maar Khan in 2010 where he starred alongside Akshay Kumar and Akshaye Khanna.
