Aaron Sorkin
Screenwriter
American film and TV writer and producer best known for creating the TV series The Newsroom and The West Wing. He wrote the screenplays for the critically acclaimed films A Few Good Men, The Social Network and Moneyball.
He graduated from Syracuse University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theatre.
He created the NBC series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, which aired from 2006 to 2007.
He was married to Julia Bingham from 1996 to 2005. He has a daughter named Roxy.
He cast Jeff Daniels in the lead role for the HBO series The Newsroom.
